DURHAM, N.C. – The Blue Devil men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have been named Scholar All-America Teams for the fall 2018 semester, as announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Tuesday.

The Duke men recorded a grade point average of 3.43 to lead all ACC squads while the Blue Devil women compiled an average of 3.52 to rank third among league teams.

Duke was one of seven ACC institutions to have both the women’s and men’s teams receive the academic honor. Overall, 713 swimming and diving teams representing 460 institutions were tabbed Scholar All-America teams.

To earn the honor, teams were required to post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester.

The Blue Devils return to action Saturday, Feb. 2, making the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., to take on North Carolina in the regular season finale.
