PHILADELPHIA – A trio of Blue Devil swimmers has been selected to represent the United States at the 20th World Maccabiah Games, slated for July 4-18 in Israel. Junior Leah Goldman, sophomore Judd Howard and freshman Noah Stevens will join over 1,100 athletes on the Maccabi USA team at this summer's event, which features 10,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries participating in 43 different sports.

Goldman previously participated in the Maccabiah Games in 2013. The Burlingame, Calif., native made her third straight trip to the NCAA Championships this spring. She earned a top-20 finish individually in the 100-yard butterfly and as a member of the Blue Devils' 200 freestyle relay. Goldman also captured All-ACC honors in the 100 butterfly for the second time at this year's conference championship.

Howard also competed at the 2013 World Maccabiah Games, serving as the boys' team captain. The 2017 ACC Championships saw Howard reach the 100 breaststroke consolation final for the second straight season, as he finished 12th in that event and in the 200 breaststroke. A product of Irvine, Calif., Howard rounded out his sophomore campaign ranked third on Duke's all-time performance list in the 200 breaststroke and sixth at the 100-yard distance.

Stevens wrapped up his first collegiate season by breaking into the Blue Devils' all-time top 10 in the 200 breaststroke. His 2:00.40 clocking at the Janis Hape Dowd Carolina College Nike Invitational ranked him eighth in program history. Stevens, who hails from Rochester, N.Y., also competed on Duke's 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays in his rookie year.
