DURHAM, N.C. – Guests traveling to the Duke University West Campus on Saturday, November 5th should be aware of the following parking and traffic alerts. In addition to the Duke Football game vs. Virginia Tech at 3:30 PM, Duke Tennis will be hosting the Kitty Harrison Invitational at Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center starting at 9:00 AM and Duke University Student Affairs will be hosting Family Weekend 2016. Please review the information below and leave extra time in your travels to avoid delays.

FAMILY WEEKEND PARKING INFORMATION
Football Game Day Parking Operations in Effect for Family Weekend
– Guests attending Family Weekend 2016 events on Saturday can use their Family Weekend Parking Pass in Science Drive Garage (SDG), Bryan Center Garage (PG4), and the Football Game Day General Public Lots. The Jogging Trail Lot on NC 751/Cameron Blvd. and Circuit Lots on Circuit Drive will open at 7:00 AM.  The remaining Football Game Day General Public Parking Lots open at 11:30 AM. DUKE WOMEN’S TENNIS KITTY HARRISON INVITATIONAL PARKING INFORMATION
General Public Parking for Women’s Tennis – Guests attending the Kitty Harrison Invitational can find general public parking on a first-come, first-serve basis in the early Football Game Day General Public Parking Lots. The Jogging Trail Lot on NC 751/Cameron Blvd. and Circuit Lots on Circuit Drive will open at 7:00 AM.  There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY. Please review the General Public Parking Lots Map and driving directions for more information.

General Public Parking for Guests with Disabilities – Accessible parking is located in the Blue Zone B-1 Lot on Wannamaker Drive off of Duke University Road from 6:00 AM – 11:30 AM. After 11:30 AM, accessible parking for the invitational will be located in the Blue Zone B-4 Lot. ADA lift-equipped van service begins at 11:30 AM to assist guests to/from Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY. Starting at 11:30 AM, an ADA lift-equipped van will be available to assist guests to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. DUKE FOOTBALL TRAFFIC ALERTS
Traffic Checkpoints
– For all Duke Football home games, checkpoints are set-up on the roads surrounding campus to keep only necessary traffic on the interior roads of campus.  Checkpoints will become active at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 5th. All Iron Duke Football Parking Permit holders must have their permits hanging from their rearview mirror as they approach for access at these checkpoints and their designated lots.

Checkpoints are located at the following intersections:

• NC 751/Cameron Blvd. and Science Drive
• NC 751/Cameron Blvd. and Duke University Road
• Duke University Road and Chapel Drive
• Duke University Road and Towerview Road
• Erwin Road and Towerview Road

Duke University Road Closure – For all Duke Football home games, Duke University Road is closed to all traffic except Iron Duke Football Parking Permit holders and guests requesting accessible parking between Anderson Street and NC 751/Cameron Blvd.  On Saturday, November 5th, the closure will begin at 11:30 AM and re-open to all traffic at 3:30 PM.  Duke University Road will close again from approximately 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM.

Towerview Road Closure from Card Gym Lot to Towerview Roundabout – Due to high pedestrian traffic, Towerview Road will be closed from the entrance of the Card Gym Lot to the roundabout at Wannamaker Drive.  The closure will begin at 11:30 AM and end at 4:00 PM.

No Thru Traffic from Frank Bassett Drive to Grounds Lot – With the addition of the Coca-Cola Fan Zone outside the Powers Gate of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium, there is no thru traffic from Frank Bassett Drive to the Grounds Lot.  All Iron Duke Football Parking Permit holders for the Grounds Lot must enter and exit the lot from NC 751/Cameron Blvd.

I-40/I-440 Construction – The I-40/I-440 area of South Raleigh will have travel lanes closed for months at a time as the complete rebuild continues.  For more information on the project including updates, lane closures, alternate routes and additional project information from the NCDOT, please refer to www.ncdot.gov/projects/I40-440Rebuild.

FOOTBALL PARKING INFORMATION
Iron Duke Parking –
All Iron Duke Football Parking Lots will open at 6:00 AM on Saturday, November 5th. Iron Duke Football Parking Permits must be displayed for access to the designated lot.

General Public Parking – Each of our Football Game Day General Public Parking Lots has been assigned to a color-coded zone to help guests identify their game day parking location. Handouts will be distributed parking lot attendants at the lot entrances that include zone color, lot name, street name, and turn-by-turn directions to closest entrance gate of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium as well as helpful game day reminders.

The early General Public Park & Walk Lots open at 7:00 AM on Saturday, November 5th – the Jogging Trail Lot on NC 751/Cameron Blvd. (Pink Zone) and Circuit Lots (Purple Zone).  There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY.

The remaining General Public Park & Walk Lots open at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 5th – Research Drive Garage (PG9) on Research Drive (Purple Zone) and Campus and Anderson Lot on Anderson Street (Yellow Zone). There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY.

The General Public Courtesy Shuttle Lots (Gray Zone) open at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 5th – H Lot on Yearby Avenue and the Medical Center Garage (PG1) on Flowers Drive.  There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY.  Courtesy shuttles run every 15 – 20 minutes from these lots to the Duke Chapel.  All courtesy shuttles are lift-equipped to assist guests with disabilities.

General Public Parking for Guests with Disabilities – Accessible parking is located in the Blue Zone B-4 Lot on Wannamaker Drive off of Duke University Road and the Edens Lots on Towerview Road off of Duke University Road.  Blue Zone B-4 Lot will open at 6:00 AM and Edens Lots will open at 11:30 AM.  ADA lift-equipped van service will begin at 11:30 AM.  There is a $10 charge to park – CASH ONLY.  An accessible drop-off/pick-up point is available outside the Wilson Gate of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium in the Blue Zone B-5 Lot off of Wannamaker Drive.  After dropping off guests, vehicles should proceed to the B-4 Lot or Edens Lots for game day parking.

RV/OV Parking – is located in the Small Circuit Lot on Circuit Drive.  The RV/OV Lot will be open on Friday, November 4th for early parking from 6:00 – 9:00 PM and on Saturday, November 5th at 7:00 AM.  There is a $50 charge to park – CASH ONLY.  All vehicles must be removed by Sunday, November 6th at Noon (12:00 PM).

Bus Parking – is located in the Small Circuit Lot on Circuit Drive.  The lot will open at 7:00 AM on Saturday, November 5th. There is a $50 charge to park – CASH ONLY.  A drop-off/pick-up point is available at the roundabout on Towerview Road. Football Game Day bus parking and traffic map and driving directions are available.  

Rideshare/Taxi Information – the designated drop-off/pick-up location for all taxis, hotel shuttles, and rideshare services is located at the entrance to the Edens C Lot at 415 Towerview Road, Durham, NC 27708, between Duke University Road and the traffic circle at the intersection of Towerview Road and Wannamaker Drive. Services attempting to drop-off/pick-up at other locations near the stadium will be denied access and directed to this location.
