DURHAM, N.C. - With the fall season quickly approaching, the Duke softball program took their turn in front of the camera earlier this week for a photo shoot session on their home field. You can check out photos from the shoot by clicking the "Photo Gallery" link.
The Blue Devil softball team, led by head coach Marissa Young, currently stands at 20 players. Duke announced its plan to add softball in 2013 and hired Young, who earned All-America honors three times at the University of Michigan and was named the 2002 Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and 2003 Big Ten Player of the Year, on July 29, 2015. She is joined by assistant coaches Laura Valentino and Lacey Waldrop. Duke’s new softball stadium, located on East Campus, is scheduled to be completed this fall as the Blue Devils begin varsity competition in the spring of 2018.
