Career: A four-year starter in goal … two-year team captain … 2012 NSCAA All-America third team … a two-time All-ACC first team selection – the first Duke goalkeeper to accomplish the feat and only ninth in ACC history … a three-time All-ACC choice, earning second team honors in 2010 … earned NSCAA All-South Region honors all four seasons … amassed over 7,000 minutes in goal during his career … finished his career with a .766 save percentage, a 1.04 goals against average and 21 shutouts … his eight shutouts in 2012 rank tied for eighth in Duke single-season history … taken 49th in the MLS Supplemental Draft ... ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2012:  Started all 18 games in goal for Duke … NSCAA All-America third team … All-ACC first team selection … NSCAA All-South Region first team … voted team’s Most Valuable Player … played all but 1:10 this season … registered a career-high eight shutouts to rank eighth in Duke single-season history … scored a goal with a penalty kick in the 2-0 win over Clemson (9/14) … named NSCAA/Disney National Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week after performance against the Tigers … made a season-high eight saves in 0-0 draw at No. 16 Wake Forest to earn ACC Player of the Week honors … allowed more than one goal in just four games … finished the year with a 0.70 goals against average and a .835 save percentage … Duke’s 0.70 goals against average was the best since 1987, while the nine shutouts overall were the most since 2009 … NSCAA Scholar All-America first team … All-ACC Academic Team … ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2011: Started all 21 games in goal ... named to All-ACC first team ... voted to NSCAA All-South Region second team ... posted a 1.31 goals against average and a .729 save percentage ... stopped two penalty kicks ... posted six shutouts ... made a season-high eight saves in 1-0 win at Furman (8/29) ... had five-plus saves in nine games ... made six saves in 2-2 tie at No. 5 North Carolina (9/30) ... also had six stops versus SMU (9/4) and UNC Wilmington (9/20) ... went the distance in all 22 games ... selected to the NSCAA Scholar All-America second team ... voted to the All-ACC Academic Team...ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2010: Started all 20 games in goal … named to All-ACC second team … voted to the NSCAA All-South Region first team … played all but 86 minutes … finished the season with four shutouts and helped Duke to six overall blankings … made a career-high 15 saves in 0-0 tie with eventual NCAA runner-up Louisville … also stopped a penalty kick against the Cardinals to preserve the shutout …  garnered ACC Player of the Week honors after performance against Louisville … also named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week … ranked third in save percentage (.814) and fourth in saves (70) and goals against average (0.79) … had seven saves against No. 8 Maryland and had six versus No. 4 North Carolina … named to the Duke/Nike Classic All-Tournament Team and the Duke Nike Classic Most Valuable Player … held teams scoreless in eight games ... named to All-ACC Academic Team ... ACC Honor Roll selection.

2009: Started 19 games in goal … named to the NSCAA All-South Region third team … finished the year with a record of 12-6-0 … recorded 54 saves and 24 goals against in 1633:25 minutes … posted a goals against average of 1.32 and a save percentage of 0.692 … notched three shutouts against Denver, Virginia, and Maryland…named the College Soccer News Player of the Week on Oct. 5 after making five saves in a 2-0 shutout of No. 2 Maryland …selected to the All-ACC Academic Team.

Prep: Reached Football Association Cup (FA Cup) to the fourth round with Walsall FC before losing to Chelsea … captained The Becket School to the South Notts Schools Cup title in 2009 … guided the Becket School to the Nottingham Schools County Cup Final in 2009 … named the Heanor Town FC Young Player of the Year and Supports Player of the Year in 2008 … major part of the Becket School Team that won the Nottingham Schools County Cup in 2008 … served as the captain of the Nottinghamshire County Schools team that advanced to the English Counties Semifinals in 2007 … represented Nottinghamshire County Schools at the U-15, U-16 and U-18 levels … also played Cricket, earning the Young Cricketer of the Year Award in 2008.

Personal: Born James Michael Belshaw on October 12, 1990 in Nottingham, England ... son of Paul and Lynn Belshaw ... has one younger brother, David ... favorite athlete is Ike Casillas "without a doubt the best goalkeeper in the world" ... aspires to play professionally in England or in Major League Soccer.
