  • Joined the team as a walk-on in July of 2009 after spending the previous two seasons as a student-manager ... earned a scholarship for the 2010-11 season

  • An athletic wing player that turned down offers from Yale and Dartmouth out of high school to chase his childhood dream of playing at Duke
  • Strong work ethic and desire to improve has helped him become a reliable practice player
  • Sister, Haley, is a member of the Duke women's basketball team ... the Peters siblings are the first brother-sister tandem to play basketball at Duke

2010-11 

  • Appeared in 10 games for the Blue Devils during his senior season
  • Pulled down two rebounds in five minutes of action against Colgate (11/19)
  • Recorded on steal against Miami (Ohio) in the second game of the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic (11/16)
  • Had one rebound against Butler (12/4) in the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J.
  • Saw one minute of action on senior night against Clemson (3/2)
  • Logged playing time in postseason games against Virginia Tech (3/12) in the ACC Tournament and Hampton (3/18) in the NCAA Tournament
  • Appeared in two ACC regular season games against N.C. State and Clemson

2009-10 

  • Played a total of eight minutes in seven games for the Blue Devils
  • Grabbed one rebound in his collegiate debut against UNC Greensboro in the season opener
  • Ended the North Carolina game in Durham with the ball in his hands

High School 

  • Three-year letterwinner at Red Bank Regional
  • First team all-league (Group B North) as a senior
  • Averaged 12.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game in 2007
  • Named New Jersey All-Academic first team as a senior
  • MVP of the Buc Holiday Tournament in 2007
  • Recorded 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game as a junior
  • Also played varsity basketball as a sophomore, averaging 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game
  • Also earned two letters in soccer ... starting midfielder as a freshman and sophomore

  • Born Casey Charles Peters on August 13, 1988, in Livingston, N.J.
  • Father, Kurt, is an attorney
  • Mother, Sharon McCloskey, is an attorney ... she is a 1980 Duke graduate and is also currently enrolled in the Columbia School of Journalism
  • Has one younger brother, Ryan
  • Younger sister, Haley, is a member of the Duke women's basketball team
  • Father, Kurt, played baseball and football at Columbia ... he was a first team All-Ivy League selection and also broke Lou Gehrig's single season RBI mark
  • Brother, Ryan, plays basketball at Emory
  • Uncle, Rex Peters, was an All-America baseball player at Lafayette College and a first round draft choice by the Chicago Cubs in 1971
  • Two-year member of the National Honor Society
  • National Honor Society president as a senior
  • National Merit Scholar semifinalist
  • Scored a perfect 800 on the math SAT
  • Hobbies include reading, watching TV and hanging out with friends
  • A double major in economics & environmental sciences and policy
