Jeanne Cho enters her fourth season as assistant coach of the Duke women’s golf team, after a very successful professional golf career.

Cho is in her first coaching job after serving as a Coordinator of Corporate Marketing at the PGA TOUR.  She has made an immediate impact with the Blue Devils helping lead Duke to the 2012 ACC Championship and to the signing of one of the top amateur golfers in the nation, Celine Boutier.  This past season, Cho helped lead Duke to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship and its second consecutive ACC Championship.

She helped Lindy Duncan earn her fourth straight NGCA First Team All-America honor and Laetitia Beck to her first All-America accolade, while Boutier and Alejandra Cangrejo earned honorable mention All-America honors.

Cho arrived in Durham with an impressive resume, which includes six years of professional play on both the Duramed FUTURES Tour and the LPGA Tour.  As a member of the LPGA Tour in 2007, Cho competed in nine tournaments and posted a career-best tied for 18th place finish at the LPGA State Farm Classic.  She competed in three U.S. Women’s Open Championships in 1999, 2002 and 2008.

On the Duramed FUTURES Tour, Cho competed from 2004-06 and tallied five career top-10 finishes, including a career-best second place ledger at the 2004 GMAC FUTURES Golf Classic in Avon, Conn.  Cho was also a finalist on The Golf Channel’s reality television show Big Break V:  Hawaii in 2006.

She also competed in the Suncoast Series from 2007-09 where she was a five-time winner and on the Next Generation Tour in 2005 as she notched two victories.

Cho was a four-year starter at the University of Florida where she earned All-SEC honors as a freshman and junior.  She was a two-time winner at the 2002 Liz Murphey Collegiate and at the 2000 UCF Invitational.  She posted a career scoring average of 76.43 to go along with 10 top 10 and 26 top 20 finishes.

A standout in the classroom as well, Cho was a three-time NGCA All-American Scholar, three-time Verizon Academic All-District III selection, three-time member of the SEC Honor Roll and was a 2003 Verizon Academic All-America.  Cho earned Dean’s List recognition from 2000-03.

She graduated cum laude in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Sciences from Florida.

As a junior, Cho won the 1999 Japan Junior Masters and was a member of the French Junior National Team in 1999.  She also won the 2003 Women’s Southern Amateur Championship in 2003.  Cho was an AJGA All-America in 1999, member of the Canon Cup East Team in 1999 and won the First Coast Amateur Championship in 2000.

Cho is a native of Boulogne, France and currently resides in Durham. She speaks four different languages -- French, English, Spanish and Korean.
