CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Duke rowing team ended competition at the Head of the Hooch on Sunday, Nov. 6, with one more first-place finish and six top-ten finishes.

In Sunday's events, the team opened strong with a second and sixth-place finish in the championship 1X. Katie Burke finished second with a time of 19:39.3, while Tori Arendt took sixth with a time of 21:02.6.

In the novice 1X, the rowing team captured a third and sixth-place finish with Emily Hyland taking third (22:53.2) and Altelisha Taylor finishing sixth  (24:42.7)

Another highlight for the rowers was their first and third-place finishes in the open 4x. Duke's boat of Emily Theys, Claire Vannelli, Sophia Blair and Burke finished with a time of 18:25.1, while Nancy McKinstry, Glynn, Tori Arendt and Laura Guth took third with a time of 19:25.6.

The rowing team also managed to capture second place in the open 2- with Theys and Rory Erickson-Kulas teaming up recording a time of 19:28.2.

Overall, the Blue Devils captured third place with 220 points finishing in first out ACC schools.
