KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Competition continued at the 2012 USA Diving Winter National Championships over the weekend, with senior Jessica Lyden taking to the 1-meter board in Saturday's quarterfinals.

Lyden qualified for the quarterfinal round of the women's 1-meter competition with a 10th-place showing Friday in the preliminaries of the event. Despite not advancing to the finals of the 1-meter competition, Lyden turned in an impressive performance to finish 23rd in the quarterfinals with a score of 226.80.

The USA Diving Winter Nationals run through Thursday at the University of Tennessee's Allan Jones Aquatic Complex. The event also serves as the selection trials for the 2012 FINA World Cup and the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.
