GREENSBORO, N.C. – With 18 holes remaining at the Bryan National Collegiate, Duke University standout Lindy Duncan is one stroke off the individual lead as she looks for her third victory of the season and seventh 10 top finish at the 6,323-yard, Par 72 Players Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center in Greensboro, N.C.

On the day, Duncan opened with a bogey on the first hole, but responded with her first of four birdies on hole No. 2 to move back to even par.  The two-time ACC Player of the Year carded another birdie on the fourth hole and closed with three pars, one bogey and one birdie to make the turn at one-under-par, 35. 

Duncan, who is out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., registered seven pars, one birdie and one bogey on the final nine to finish the day with a 71.  On the day, she hit 13 fairways, 13 greens and totaled 29 putts.  In the first two rounds, Duncan has notched 15 pars in 18 holes on the back nine. 

Leading the individual action is the trio of Jessica Negron of Florida State, Eric Popson of Tennessee and Rachel Rohanna of Ohio State with three-under-par ledgers of 141.  Duncan is one stroke behind at 142 with back-to-back rounds of 71. 

As a team, Duke enters the final round in sixth overall with a total of 593, after carding rounds of 298 and 295.  Tennessee (584) leads by two strokes over Florida State (586), while North Carolina (590), Ohio State (591), South Carolina (592), Duke (593), Wake Forest (594), Northwestern (595), Virginia (602) and Tulane (602) rounding out the top 10. 

Continuing to rank in the top 20 is junior Stacey Kim, after totaling rounds of 73 and 75 for a total of 148.  A product of Columbus, Ga., Kim is tied for 14th with two birdies in the second round.  She had three bogeys on the front nine and played the back at even par with two birdies, two bogeys and five pars.  On the day, Kim hit 13 fairways, six greens and had 28 putts.

After totaling a 78 on day one, sophomore Alejandra Cangrejo came back to register Duke’s second-best round of the day with a 74.  She opened with two bogeys over her first three holes, but rolled in a birdie on the 508-yard, par five No. 4.  A native of Bogota, Colombia, Cangrejo closed the front nine with three pars, one birdie and one bogey to make the turn with an one-over-par, 37. 

Cangrejo carded birdies on No. 12 and No. 17, but had bogeys on three holes on her way to finishing the back nine with a 37.  She is tied for 39th with a 152 through 36 holes.

After making the turn at even par, 72, junior Courtney Ellenbogen had three bogeys and six pars on the back nine to post a 75 on Saturday.  Ellenbogen, who is from Blacksburg, Va., enters the final round tied for 39th overall with a 152.  She hit nine fairways, seven greens and rolled in 28 putts.

Sophomore Laetitia Beck had Duke’s best start of the day as she birdied the first and sixth holes on her way to making the turn at two-under-par, 34.  A native of Caesarea, Israel, Beck struggled on the final nine finishing with a seven-over-par, 43, on her way to finishing with her second straight 77.  She is tied for 49th overall with a 154, after hitting 11 greens, eight fairways and notching 32 putts in round two.

Playing as an individual, freshman Irene Jung carded a 77 and with 18 holes left is tied for 65th with a 156.  For the second consecutive day, Jung was unable to register a birdie as she hit 12 greens, eight fairways and had 33 putts.

Duke will tee off in the final round on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start.
