DURHAM, N.C. – Duke junior right-hander Marcus Stroman was among 51 pitchers named to the Pitcher of the Year Watch List, presented by the College Baseball Hall of Fame. Stroman was one of only six pitchers from the ACC named to the initial watch list.

Stroman, a native of Medford, N.Y., leads all NCAA pitchers in strikeouts with 102 and ranks fourth in the country in strikeouts per nine innings (12.58). Stroman is 4-3 with a 2.22 ERA in 10 starts this season.

Stroman ranks second in the ACC in innings pitched (73.0), fifth in ERA (2.22) and seventh in opponent batting average (.217).

Stroman’s 256 career strikeouts put him at seventh on Duke’s all-time strikeouts list. His career 3.32 ERA is the second-lowest in Duke history in the aluminum bat era (since 1974) and sixth-lowest all-time.
