High School/Club:  A four-year letterwinner at Lake Mary H.S. ... selected First Team All-Conference  and All-Central Florida First Team as a senior ... MVP of her high school squad her senior year ... captain as a junior and senior ... scored nine goals, had 11 assists and started all 25 matches as a senior ... led her squad to a 20-5 record and an appearance in the regional semifinals ... did not play as a sophomore and junior due to knee surgery ... posted one goal and three assists, while starting all 25 matches as a freshman ... earned Honorable Mention All-Conference as a freshman ... played club soccer for Seminole Soccer (now called FSA) ... captain for the club team for seven years ... led the squad to the Super Y National semifinals.

Personal: Full name is Courtney Louise McDaniel ... born February 18, 1994 in Winter Park, Fla. ... daughter of David and Cristy McDaniel ... has three brothers -- Ryan (24), Austin (22) and Tyler (20) ... is from a family that has attended Duke as both her parents and three brothers attended or are currently in school ... her father, David, played soccer at Duke from 1980-84 .. her brothers Ryan (2006-10) and Austin (2007-11) played soccer at Duke, while her brother Tyler is a junior on the Blue Devil soccer squad ... her aunt, Cheryl McDaniel Duckworth, played on the club soccer team at Duke before it became a varsity sport ... member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and French Honors Society ... an AP Scholar.
