Prior to Duke: Completed prep career at Belchertown High School...state champion in the mile as a senior...two-time Western Massachusetts Division I champion in the 800m and 3,200m outdoors...also captured two Western Massachusetts divisional titles in the mile...led her cross country squad to a fourth-place finish in the state her senior year...won the mile at the New Balance Falmouth Road Race as a senior...also competed at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor her final year, taking fourth in the emerging elite mile event...member of The Republican's all-scholastic first team all four years in cross country...also lettered two years in swimming...placed 12th in the state in the 100m backstroke as a freshman and sophomore...member of the National Art Honor Society...graduated as class valedictorian.
