TULSA, Okla. – Freshman
Josh Levine fell in the third round of action at the ITA All-American
Championships on Sunday, as the Duke men’s tennis team concluded play in the
pre-qualifying stage of the event held at the University of Tulsa.
Levine dropped his third round match to 17th-seeded Joe
Salisbury of Memphis, 6-3, 6-4.
After dropping his second round match in the pre-qualifying
draw on Saturday, freshman Daniel McCall rebounded to defeat Raphael
Cuadrillero of Southern Illinois in a bonus match, 6-1, 6-2.
The freshmen duo will pair up to play in the doubles
qualifying stage, which will be held Oct. 1-3. Fellow freshman Michael Redlicki
and sophomore Jason Tahir will also team up in the doubles qualifying draw. In
addition, the Blue Devils will have three representatives in the qualifying
singles draw, including Redlicki, Tahir and sophomore Raphael Hemmeler.
