DURHAM, N.C. - The Eagles' Katty Workman knocked down a match-high 21 kills to lead Boston College past the Duke volleyball team 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-19) Saturday evening at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Duke (10-8, 1-5 ACC) never found its rhythm, hitting .183 in the Blue Devils' first home loss of the season. Senior Christiana Gray and freshman Elizabeth Campbell led Duke with nine kills each, while freshman Christina Vucich recorded a double-double with 32 assists and 11 digs.

Workman also picked up a double-double for Boston College (10-9, 4-3 ACC), adding 11 digs to her match-high kill total. Franny Hock and Kellie Branum chipped in with 17 and 13 digs, respectively, helping the Eagles' defense hold the Blue Devils in check most of the night.

The two teams battled back and forth for the majority of the opening set with neither squad able to pull away. A Boston College attack error put the Blue Devils up 21-20 before the Eagles closed out the stanza on a 5-1 run to take the set 25-22.

The second set mimicked the first as the two squads traded points to start the frame. Duke edged ahead, 17-15 following a BC attack error, but the Eagles responded to again tie the score. The Blue Devils again built a two-point advantage and led 24-22, but costly errors allowed the Eagles to tie the score. Boston College took advantage of the opportunity, utilizing a Kellie Barnum service ace and Kameron McLain kill for the win.

Down 2-0, Duke was unable to build any momentum in the third game as Boston College led 16-12 by the midway point. The Eagles' advantage climbed to 21-14, resulting in a Duke timeout. The Blue Devils and the Eagles traded points the rest of the way as Duke could not chip into the Boston College lead.

Duke's current home stretch continues next weekend as the Blue Devils are set to host Clemson Friday, October 12 at 7 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
