DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke volleyball team concludes its current five-match homestand with a midweek contest against Wake Forest Tuesday, October 16. The Blue Devils and the Demon Deacons square off at 7 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Blue Devils, who are 8-2 at home this season, are coming off a pair of five-set contests over the weekend. Duke (11-9, 2-6 ACC) fell, 3-2, to Clemson Friday evening before rebounding with a five-set victory over Georgia Tech Saturday in Cameron.
Offensively, freshman Emily Sklar leads Duke with a 3.18 kills per set average as the rookie has reached double-digit kill totals in 12-of-17 matches played. Sophomore Jeme Obeime is tops on the squad with 212 kills and has led the Blue Devils in kills nine times this season.
On the defensive side, junior Ali McCurdy continues to lead the conference with a 5.77 digs per set average. The libero from Tampa, Fla., has picked up 20-plus digs 12 times this season while topping the 30-dig plateau on three occasions. Junior Chelsea Cook has paced the Blue Devils in blocks and ranks seventh in the ACC, averaging 1.12 per set.
Wake Forest enters Tuesday's match with a 7-13 overall record and 1-7 mark in the ACC. The Demon Deacons dropped two matches this past weekend, falling to Georgia Tech and Clemson. Senior Andrea Bech leads Wake Forest with 256 kills on the year and ranks third in the conference in kills per set (.366 kps) and 10th in hitting percentage (.328).
Duke holds a 47-13 advantage in the all-time series, including a 22-3 mark at home against the Demon Deacons. The Blue Devils have not lost to Wake Forest in Cameron since the 2003 campaign, a streak of eight straight victories. Last season, the two teams split a pair of decisions with both squads defending their home courts.
Following Tuesday's match, Duke hits the road, traveling to Virginia and Virginia Tech for two ACC contests. The Blue Devils and the Cavaliers are set for a 7 p.m., match Friday, October 19 at Memorial Gymnasium. Duke then takes on Virginia Tech at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 20 in Cassell Coliseum.
