DURHAM, N.C. - Senior Juliet Bottorff garnered Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season Wednesday after guiding the 10th-ranked women's cross country team to a second-place showing over the weekend at the Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Championships.
With Bottorff leading the way in third place overall, the Blue Devils placed four runners inside the top 20 on their way to a second-place finish, marking the team's best showing at the championship meet since the 2009 season. Bottorff covered the 6K course in a time of 20:10.6 to claim the third All-ACC accolades of her cross country career. The Newark, Del., native has now been Duke's top finisher in four meets on the season.
Up next, Bottorff and the Blue Devils head to Charlotte, N.C. on Friday, Nov. 9 to compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
