DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's basketball team has started  4-0 on the season and will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face Michigan on Wednesday, November 28.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.  Recently, sat down with senior center Allison Vernerey to learn more about the Alsace, France native. What has been your proudest moment at Duke?
Allison Vernerey: "I've had a lot of really good moments. I think definitely the two ACC championships with the team, organizing the sweet life and fundraising events." What is your favorite part of being a Duke student-athlete?
AV: "I love a lot of things about Duke, but I think it's just cool to be able to go from one realm to another really quickly and have both support in both areas." What has been your favorite class at Duke?
AV: "I took a class on microeconomics last year. It was a graduate class actually and it was really cool. It was a little hard because it was econ and all but that's what I'm majoring in so it was really cool." Tell us about the time when you first started playing Basketball?
AV: "I guess when I was really young. My dad was a basketball coach so I started when I was like six or something just like playing around." What was your favorite food when you were a child?
AV: "Probably, Nutella. I just love it I eat it for like breakfast, I eat it for an afternoon snack. I love it. I eat it all the time." Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons did that person teach you?
AV: "Probably my dad. He's the one that helped me figure out kind of everything to help me come here. He's the one that supported me for being here. My big sister is definitely a big influence but I think I would have to say my dad." What sport other than basketball would you play?
AV: "I don't think I would play any sport because I'm not that good at any other sport at all." Do you have any hidden talents?
AV: "I can cook a little bit. It's not a great talent but I can cook. I can cook some French food.  I liked to make a special type of potato, little like cut potatoes with cheese in it and they're kind of like not fried but sautéed." What is the first thing you notice about other people?
AV: "The way they speak, like accents, because I'm here and I try to listen to the way I speak so I tend to listen more to how people speak."
