DURHAM, N.C.-  In the final TopDrawerSoccer.com upperclassmen rankings of 2012, the Duke women's soccer team featured four in the top 50 of the listing.  Laura Weinberg (19), Kim DeCesare (34), Natasha Anasi (39) and Mollie Pathman (50) were ranked in the top 100 sophomores, juniors and seniors. 

Blue Devil rookie Cassie Pecht was also ranked No. 9 in the freshman ledger, after being tabbed the National Rookie of the Year. 

A native of Boca Raton, Fla., Weinberg earned second team NSCAA All-Region honors in 2012 after registering 16 goals, 12 assists and a school-record 44 points on the year. Her 16 goals were tied for a team high and was a career high, while ranking tied for second on Duke's single-season chart. Weinberg also notched five game-winning goals and registered eight of her 16 goals against ACC opponents. Over her career, Weinberg has scored 34 goals and posted 86 points to rank tied for fourth and fifth, respectively, on Duke's career lists.

DeCesare, who is from Massapequa Park, N.Y., was moved to the forward position in 2012 and flourished with a tied for team-best 16 goals, six assists and 38 points.  Her five multi-goal games in 2012 set a new Blue Devil season record, while her 38 points was the fourth-best in school history.  DeCesare, who was a second team All-ACC selection, had scored seven goals her first two years at Duke prior to her breakout season. 

Anasi started all 23 games for the Blue Devils at the center back position. The Arlington, Texas standout was a second team All-ACC and NSCAA All-America selection in 2012. Anasi registered two assists on the season and guided the Blue Devils to six shutouts on the year. She logged a team-high 2,017 minutes.  Anasi became just the second two-time NSCAA All-America in school history with her selection in 2011 and 2012.

Pathman, who is out of Durham, N.C., competed in 16 matches for the Blue Devils, after missing the first seven contests traveling with the United States U-20 Women's National Team in Japan for the World Cup. Pathman and the U-20 team won the World Cup title with a 1-0 victory over Germany.   A 5-4 forward/defender for the Blue Devils, Pathman registered one goal and six assists for Duke in 2012 for a total of eight points.

A native of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Pecht started all 23 matches, while registering six goals, 15 assists and a total of 27 points in her rookie campaign. In the Duke single-season freshman charts, Pecht's 15 assists was a new record, while her 27 points tied for second. A TopDrawerSoccer.com National Freshman of the Year selection, Pecht's 15 assists was also the second-most in Duke's overall history. Pecht, who played both at the forward and midfield slots, scored or assisted in 15 of the Blue Devils' 23 matches this season.

As a team, Duke advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the fourth time out of the last six years before falling, 1-0, at top-seeded Penn State.  The Blue Devils posted a 15-6-2 overall record on the year.
