DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's lacrosse program welcomed another outstanding freshman class this year under the direction of head coach Kerstin Kimel. With seven freshmen joining the squad this fall, GoDuke.com caught up with each Blue Devil rookie to take a closer look at the talented recruiting class.
The fourth of seven signees to be featured is Kelsey Duryea, a goalkeeper from Beverly, Mass. Duryea was tabbed the top-seeded goalie in the 2012 freshman class according to ESPN and was named one of the top 25 incoming freshman by Inside Lacrosse. An Under Armour and US Lacrosse All-American during her prep career, she was one of two goalkeepers selected to the U.S. under-19 women's national team that captured gold at the 2011 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship. Duryea was a two-time New England all-star pick and a two-time all-league selection as well during her four years at The Governor's Academy.
