DURHAM, N.C. - Duke forward Ryan Kelly was named ACC
Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading Duke to a
79-76 win over No. 5 Miami Saturday.
Kelly, who had missed Duke's previous 13 games after
suffering a foot injury in the Jan. 8 win over Clemson, scored a career-high 36
points in the win while sinking a career-high 10 field goals and seven
three-pointers. Kelly scored 20 points in the first half, shot 10-of-14 from
the field and 7-of-9 from three-point range in a return that head coach Mike
Krzyzewski called "One for the ages."
Duke improved to 16-0 with Kelly in the lineup this
season, including a 4-0 mark against top-five teams in the Associated Press Poll.
Kelly averages 14.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game this season
while shooting 56.1 percent from three-point range.
The ACC Player of the Week award is the sixth by a Duke player
Kelly and the Blue Devils will host Virginia Tech on
Tuesday at 7 p.m. in their final home game of the season.
