LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Coming off a recent trip to face top-20 opponents Michigan and Notre Dame, the second-ranked Duke women's tennis team continues its road trip as it prepares to take on 60th-ranked Indiana Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET. The Blue Devils enter the match with a 9-2 record, including five wins over teams ranked in the top-25 of the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.

"We are looking forward to getting back on the court and putting ourselves in a competitive situation," said head coach Jamie Ashworth.  "It will be twelve days since we will have played a match and for us that is an unusual thing in our schedule. We definitely needed the break but are excited to conclude our non-conference schedule against Indiana. Getting a good match outdoors is important before we begin ACC play next week and Indiana always provides us with a great test"

Duke is led by junior Hanna Mar who is listed at No. 16 in the most recent poll after recording a 4-2 mark this season in dual matches. Mar, a native of Burr Ridge, Ill., owns an 18-5 singles record on the year, including a 6-4 mark against nationally ranked opponents. In addition to Mar, the Blue Devils have four other players ranked in the ITA singles poll including sophomore Ester Goldfeld (No. 35), junior Marianne Jodoin (No. 84), senior Mary Clayton (No. 88) and sophomore Monica Turewicz (No. 119).

A native of Varennes, Quebec, Jodoin enters the match with a team-leading 10-0 singles record this spring, and is in the midst of a 16-singles match win streak, dating back to her victory in the White Draw at the Kitty Harrison Invitational Nov. 9-12.

The Hoosiers enter the match with a 10-4 record after falling to Purdue last Saturday. Duke and Indiana have met 28 times in program history, with the Blue Devils leading the series, 20-8. The Blue Devils played host to the Hoosiers last season, when Duke swept all three doubles matches en route to a 6-1 victory in Durham, N.C.

The match Friday will be the squad's final outing before conference play begins Saturday, March 23rd when the Blue Devils travel to Raleigh, N.C., to take on N.C. State at 12 p.m.
