DURHAM, N.C. – Senior Henrique Cunha of the ninth-ranked Duke men’s tennis team captured the second Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year honors of his career, while junior Fred Saba and rookie Michael Redlicki join Cunha on the 2013 All-ACC 19-member squad voted on by the league’s 11 coaches, as announced by the league office Thursday.

Cunha becomes the first player in Blue Devil history to be named ACC Player of the Year two times in his career, as he previously won the honor during his rookie campaign in 2010. In singles, Cunha was dominant throughout the dual season with a perfect 17-0 ledger, including an undefeated 9-0 mark in ACC competition. Cunha was equally as dominant in doubles playing to a 33-3 overall record along with Raphael Hemmeler. A product of Jaú, Brazil, Cunha collects the fourth career All-ACC honors, becoming the sixth player in the program’s history to garner All-ACC honors in four consecutive seasons.

A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Saba collects the first All-ACC honors of his career. Saba has played to a 26-9 overall this season and a 9-1 mark in ACC competition from the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Saba defeated four ranked opponents throughout the season highlighted by a win over Virginia’s top-ranked Alex Domijan. In doubles, Saba teamed with junior Chris Mengel throughout the campaign and the duo has captured a 24-6 overall record so far this season, including a 7-2 mark in ACC play.

After becoming the 10th Blue Devil to win 30 singles matches as a rookie in program history, Redlicki captures the first All-ACC honors of his Duke career. A product of Hawthorn Woods, Ill., Redlicki owns an overall 30-9 mark for the season, including a 9-1 tally in ACC competition. In doubles, Redlicki posted a 24-6 mark throughout the season alongside sophomore Jason Tahir, including a 7-1 tally in ACC play.

As a team, Duke received the No. 9 overall seed in the NCAA Team Championship and was selected as one of 16 regional host sites for the tournament.
