YORK, England – Duke University sophomore Celine Boutier will represent France at the 2013 European Ladies’ Amateur Team Championship from July 9-13 at the Fulford Golf Club in York, England.
The championship will feature 20 countries , each with a team of six amateur golfers. All teams will play a stroke play qualifying round on each of the first two days, with their best five scores counting on each day. The top eight teams qualify for the quarterfinals and play head-to-head, match play golf, to decide the medals. The remaining teams play in the second and third flights to decide their overall place.
Other countries participating include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, two-time defending champion Sweden, Switzerland and Wales.
Representing France along with Boutier will be Alexandra Bonetti, Justime Dreher, Manon Gidali, Ines Lescudier and Ariane Provot.
Boutier is a product of Montrouge, France and is coming off a rookie campaign at Duke where she was named the ACC Rookie of the Year and was a Golfweek Honorable Mention All-America selection.
