Career Statistics

2014: In his first season with the Blue Devils, ranked 19th in the ACC in batting average (.309), third in slugging percentage (.549) and third in home runs (9) … Led the team in home runs … Named to the ACC All-Tournament team after hitting a team-best .500 (7-for-14) in three tournament games … Hit a home run in four straight games from May 17-24, blasting two homers at then-No. 4 Florida State and adding one each against Clemson and Georgia Tech … One of three Blue Devils to hit over .300 on the year … Seven-of-nine home runs came against ACC competition … Totaled 13 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games … Hit a team-best .379 (22-of-58) over the final 17 games of the season, raising his average from .269 to .309 during that span while adding seven home runs, six doubles and a triple.

2013 (at Penn): Garnered first team All-Ivy and Big 5 Player of the Year honors ... Named Academic All-Ivy ... The only Penn player to start all 43 games ... Led both the Quakers and the Ivy League with a .382 batting average and .500 on-base percentage ... Tied for the most hits in the Ivy League with 55 ... Drew a team-high 27 walks and also led the team with 11 stolen bases in 13 attempts ... Tied for the team lead with four home runs ... Opened the season with a 12-game hitting streak ... Went 4-for-5 and scored two runs March 2 at Williams & Mary ... Named Big 5 Player of the Week on March 5 ... Reached base four times and hit first home run of the season March 8 at Winthrop ... Blasted a pair of doubles as part of a three-hit day against Villanova March 20 ...  In the opener of a doubleheader at Lafayette March 23, went 4-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored ... Went 4-for-4 again in the second game of the Lafayette doubleheader, finishing a home run short of the cycle ... Homered in the first of two games March 30 against Dartmouth, then scored the winning run in walk-off fashion the second game ... Went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk, driving in a pair and scoring twice April 20 at Cornell.

2012 (at Penn): Earned second team All-Ivy accolades ... Started 39 games, seeing time both in the outfield and as designated hitter ... Led Penn with a .350 batting average and 49 hits ... Belted four triples to lead the Ivy League ... Ranked second on the team in both on-base percentage (.404) and slugging percentage (.614) ... Scored 24 times and drove in 22 runs ... Began the year with a 2-for-4 performance with a triple and RBI March 2 at Stetson ... Went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI March 11 against North Dakota State ... Collected two hits and three RBI, including a homer, in Penn’s home opener March 14 versus Temple ... Guided Penn past La Salle in the Liberty Bell Classic semifinal, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run while also totaling four RBI and two runs scored ... Was a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored in Penn’s 7-0 win at Harvard April 8 ... Belted three doubles with an RBI and a run scored in home rematch against La Salle April 11 ... Batted .500 (7-for-14) with six doubles in the Quakers’ final series of the season against Columbia.

2011 (at Penn): Appeared in 17 games with nine starts ... Hit .194, with seven hits in 36 at-bats, and slugged .361 ... Batted .357 with runners in scoring position ... Had five RBI, three runs, two doubles and two triples ... Went 1-for-2 with two runs, a double and two walks March 13 against Georgetown ... Went 1-for-1 with a two-run triple April 25 versus Cornell ... Had two hits with a triple, an RBI and a walk April 29.

2010 (at Penn): Did not appear in any contests.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at The Hill School in baseball, basketball and soccer ... Served as captain of all three sports ... Named honorable mention All-MAPL as a centerfielder in 2006 ... First team All-MAPL as a catcher in 2008 ... Named first team all-area in baseball by the Pottstown Mercury in 2007 and 2008 ... Played on MAPL championship teams in basketball (2008) and soccer (2006, ‘08) ... Honorable mention All-MAPL in soccer in 2007 and 2008 ... Achieved honor roll or high honor roll status all four years.

Personal: Born Philip Ryan Deitrich on Aug. 7, 1990 in Phoenixville, Pa. ... The son of Dean and Brenda Deitrich ... Father lettered in football at Penn (1975-78) ... Has an older borther (Chris) and an older sister (Lauren) ... Lauren played lacrosse at Bucknell (2005-08).
