Duke 72, Arizona 66

Team Notes:
•    Duke lost in an in-season tournament game for the first time since March 21, 2006 when No. 13 Marquette defeated Duke, 73-62, in the CBE Classic. Duke had won 26 consecutive in-season tournament games and six in-season tournaments prior to tonight’s loss.
•    Duke had a 20-point scorer for the eighth straight game, as Rodney Hood led all players with 21 points. Jabari Parker also just missed the 20-point plateau, finishing with 19 points. Duke has 15 20-point games this season, including seven from Parker and five from Hood.
•    Arizona’s high scorer was Nick Johnson, whose 15 points were the lowest scoring output by a Duke opponent’s high scorer in a loss since the Blue Devils fell, 70-68 to No. 6 Wake Forest on Jan. 28, 2009. Al-Farouq Aminu scored 15 points to lead Wake Forest that night.
•    Quinn Cook, Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker all scored in double figures together for the sixth time in Duke’s eight games.
•    For the first time since the 1999-2000 season, Duke will conclude the month of November with more than one loss. Duke had not lost more than one game in November since the 2000-01 season. The Blue Devils are 80-5 in November over the past 14 seasons.
•    Duke is now 28-16 all-time in Madison Square Garden. The Blue Devils have won 15 of their past 18 games in the arena.
•    Duke held a 36-33 lead at halftime, giving the Blue Devils a halftime lead in every game this season.
•    Duke used the starting lineup of Quinn Cook, Josh Hairston, Rodney Hood, Jabari Parker and Tyler Thornton for the second straight game, marking the second time this season that Duke has started all three team captains (Hairston, Hood, Thornton). Cook, Hood and Parker have started every game this season.
•    Duke played its 220th straight game as a top-10 team. The Blue Devils are 182-38 (.827) in those games.

Player Notes:

Quinn Cook
•    Made his 42nd consecutive start, the longest active streak on the team.
•    Scored in double figures for the fifth straight game and seventh time this season. Cook …hit 6-of-9 field goal attempts – including 1-of-2 three-pointers – on the way to 13 points.

Rodney Hood
•    Recorded his fifth 20-point game of the season, shooting 8-of-15 from the field on the way to 21 points. Hood has at least 20 points in three of his past four games.
•    Attempted a career-high 15 field goals.
•    Led Duke in rebounding for the second time in his career, pulling down eight boards.
•    Scored in double figures for the seventh time in eight games.
•    Hit a three-pointer for the fifth straight game, finishing 1-of-5 from behind the arc.

Jabari Parker
•    Failed to reach the 20-point plateau for the first time all season, finishing with 19 points on 7-of-21 shooting from the field. Parker’s streak of seven consecutive 20-point games to open the season is the second longest in Duke history, trailing the 10-game tear by Art Heyman in 1961-62. It matches Kevin Durant of Texas (2006-07) for the longest streak by a true freshman over the past decade.
•    Recorded a block and a steal for the seventh straight game. Parker has a block in every game of his collegiate career

Rasheed Sulaimon
•    Scored eight points off the bench. Sulaimon is averaging 10.5 points per game when coming off the bench.
