The O'Reilly triplets, Christine, Patricia and Theresa, dominated the Duke women's tennis scene from 1987-90, drawing widespread attention and firmly rooting the program in the national ranks. The trio helped lead Duke to three ACC regular season titles, three ACC Tournament titles, a 25-3 ACC ledger and a 78-32 overall record while at Duke. The sisters from New Jersey won Duke's first ACC Championship in 1988 and put Duke on the map for women's tennis.
As competitors on both the singles and doubles circuits, the O'Reillys have six All-ACC selections and four NCAA Championship appearances between them.
Patricia O'Reilly led the way as a four-year All-ACC selection and two-time All-America. She ranks 10th on Duke's all-time wins list with 114 victories over the course of her career. After her senior season in 1990, O'Reilly received national recognition, being named All-America, ACC Player of the Year and the ITCA/Volvo Tennis Southeast Region Senior Player of the Year.
