When it comes to elite collegiate field hockey venues, Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium stands among the nation’s best. Completed in 1996 and located on Duke’s East Campus, the facility serves as the home of Blue Devil field hockey, offering a private and high-performance training and competition space. The stadium features a state-of-the-art Tokyo GT blue turf surface, originally developed for the Tokyo Olympics and installed at Duke in 2022,
making it the first venue in the U.S. to adopt the cutting-edge, sustainable design.
Recent enhancements also include the addition of the Jim Sabiston Field House, which expanded the facility with a new team locker room, kitchen, team room, and conference space. The stadium is equipped with an advanced watering system, LED lighting for night games, and a modern sound system and scoreboard. Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium remains a premier destination for collegiate field hockey.
