The two-day, 54-hole event will take place at the 7,054-yard, par-72 Duke University Golf Club, which also will host the NCAA Men's Golf Championship in the spring of 2001.
The tournament is free of charge and open to the public.
The field includes all top 10 teams ranked in the preseason Mastercard Collegiate Golf Rankings and 14 of the top 20 in the poll. Fifteen of the top 30 schools ranked by Golfweek are set for the tournament while 12 of the 15 schools including national champion Oklahoma State which participated in last spring's NCAA Championships will be present.
Individually, 20 of the top 25 rated players by the Mastercard Collegiate Golf Rankings and 22 of the top 50 players in the country as rated by Golf World are scheduled to participate. This group includes three-time All-America Bryce Molder of Georgia Tech, three-time Pac-10 champion Paul Casey of Arizona State, United States Amateur champion Jeff Quinney of Arizona State, number one-ranked and 1999 Preview champion Luke Donald of Northwestern, number two-ranked Lucas Glover of Clemson and 1999 ACC medalist Matt Krauss of Duke.
The 1999 Preview tournament was held at Grand National in Opelika, Ala., with Northwestern capturing the team championship and the Wildcats' Donald claiming individual medalist honors.
