Duke's Casey McCluskey Named to Soccerbuzz Magazine All-Freshman Team

Duke freshman midfielder Casey McCluskey earned a spot on the 2001 Soccerbuzz Magazine Freshman All-America first team and was named honorable mention All-America on Thursday.

McCluskey was the top offensive threat for the Blue Devils in 2001, finishing the regular season tied for fourth in the conference in goals (9) and second among freshmen. The Fairfax, Va., native posted three two-goal games and is tied for seventh all-time at Duke for goals in a season. McCluskey has earned several accolades for her accomplishments this season, including ACC Rookie of the Year, first team All-ACC and All-Southeast Region and Soccerbuzz Southeast Freshman of the Year, All-America and All-Freshman first teams.
