- With its 88-56 win over Florida State, Duke improves to 15-0 and is now one of just three undefeated teams in the NCAA along with Illinois and Boston College.
- Duke improves to 24-4 all time over Florida State and 10-4 at the Tucker Center, formerly known as the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center. Duke has now won four straight over Florida State overall and two straight in Tallahassee, Fla. Duke is 22-3 against Florida State under Coach K.

Redick now has 250 career three-point field goals and moved past Shane Battier for fourth place on the Duke career list. Next on the list is Bobby Hurley (264). He now has 1,409 career points, becomig the 27th player to reach that plateau in Duke history and passing Phil Henderson for 27th place. He is just seven points away from Mike Lewis (1416, 1966-68) and 26th place.
- Daniel Ewing played in his 120th career game and Duke is 103-17 in his career. He scored 14 points and dished out five assists against just one turnover against Florida State. Ewing's 14 points marks the 14th time this season and 73rd of his career reaching double figures. Ewing now has 1339 career points and moved past Joe Belmont and into 30th place on the all-time Duke list. Next on the list is Mike Dunleavy (1371, 2000-02).
- Shelden Williams recorded his 9th double-double of 2004-05 and 27th of his career with 11 points and 13 rebounds. He leads the ACC in rebounding.
- Shavlik Randolph scored in double-figures for the first time since being sidelined with mononucleosus,
- Duke has now won 130 of its last 157 games outside of Cameron Indoor Stadium.
