DURHAM, N.C.--On Saturday afternoon, the second-ranked Duke women's basketball team went through a four-hour filming session with an ESPN production crew in preparation for promotional advertisements for the NCAA Tournament.
Duke's Wynter Whitley, Monique Currie, Mistie Williams, Jessica Foley, Alison Bales, Chante Black, Wanisha Smith and Laura Kurz posed for group and individual shots as well as doing various dribbling and shooting sessions.
The ESPN crew came in at 8:00 a.m. to start setting up Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils arrived at 11:00 a.m. for practice and went until 1:15 p.m. After practice was concluded, members of the team ate lunch and went to the locker room to get changed into their blue uniforms for the filming session. The production crew of approximately 12 people, which was directed by Barrett Esposito, set up the Cameron floor with the lights, shades and other equipment.
As each player came out to the floor, a make-up artist prepped each player before the shoot started. For more information on the filming session, check out the photo gallery on www.GoDuke.com and watch ESPN the next three weeks before the NCAA Tournament and throughout the postseason.
Duke will be one of a few of the elite teams in the nation that are being spotlighted for the NCAA Tournament promotional advertisements.
