DURHAM, N.C. ? Former Duke Women's Basketball player Sheana Mosch has been selected to the Turkish Basketball League All-Star International Team. The 5-10 guard is in her first season overseas, playing for the Turkish Team, Botas.
Other members on the International All-Star Team are Mia Fisher (Kayseri TED Koleji), Tamicha Jackson (Y?ld?r?m Belediyesi), Rebecca Devny (Burhaniye Belediyesi), Tan White (Fenerbah?e), Jacklyn Johnson (Be?ikta? Cola Turka), Shaquala Williams (Burhaniye Belediyesi), Amachere Magdebene (Be?ikta? Cola Turka), Latasha Byears (Kayseri TED Koleji), Olimpia Scott (Ceyhan Belediyesi), Korona Zanze (Fenerbah?e), Nyree Roberts (Be?ikta? Cola Turka).
Mosch has played in 17 games for Botas, starting 16 of the contests. In the Division I statistics, Mosch ranks fourth in scoring (20.3), while averaging 35.8 minutes, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. She has hit 27 out of 80 three-pointers, for 33.8 percentage from downtown. Mosch has also hit 86.8 percent of her free throws.
The Clearfield, Pa., native scored a career-high 30 points in an early December win against Yildirim. Mosch has also recorded two double-doubles, one with 26 points and 11 rebounds and another with 17 points and 10 boards.
Botas ranks fifth in the Turkish Division I standings with a 9-8 record.
The former Blue Devil is one of the 19 different 1,000 point scorers over the 31-year history of women's basketball at Duke. Mosch posted career averages of 9.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 140 games. The 2001 third team All-ACC selection is tied with Iciss Tillis for most career victories at Duke with 124.
