
Dimitrov Falls in ITA Regionals Round of 16

Charlottesville, Va. ? Kiril Dimitrov could not continue his winning ways at the ITA Wilson Mideast Regional Championships in Charlottesville, Va. as he lost in straight sets Saturday in his round of 16 match.
Dimitrov, ranked No. 57 in the preseason ITA singles rankings squared off against the No. 100 player in the country, Virginia Tech's Albert Larregola. One day after eliminating Duke's Alex Stone from the tournmanet, Larregola knocked out another Blue Devils as he won 6-4, 6-4 against Dimitrov.
Dimitrov is now 6-5 on the year after posting a 2-1 record in the ITA Regional.
The Blue Devils will now wait to see if they will be selected to compete in the ITA National Indoor Championships Nov. 1-4.
