Dickinson Named Duke Student-Athlete of the Week

DURHAM, N.C. ? Marian Dickinson of the Duke field hockey team has been named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Student-Athlete of the Week.
The junior midfielder from Canada scored four goals to lead the Blue Devils to victories over two nationally-ranked opponents last weekend.
Dickinson scored the final two goals when Duke knocked off No. 10 Boston College 3-2 for the first ACC win of the season. Two days later she scored two more times, including the game-winner in overtime, when the Blue Devils edged No. 14 Boston University 3-2.
Dickinson, this week's ACC player of the week, is the leading scorer for Duke this season. The Blue Devils close their home season this weekend (Saturday, Oct. 6) by hosting defending NCAA champion Maryland.
