Former Duke Football Player Dr. Glenn E. Newman Passes Away

DURHAM, N.C. ? Former Duke football player Dr. Glenn E. Newman passed away on Thursday morning at the Duke Medical Center. He was 61.
A native of Clinton, N.C., Newman lettered on the gridiron as a linebacker at Duke from 1966-68 under Tom Harp before graduating in 1969. He spent his professional career working in Duke's Department of Radiology.
Newman is survived by his wife, Mary, and two daughters, Kathryn and Lauren. Mary (1972) and Kathryn (2008) both graduated from Duke.
