Blue Devil Bits
- Duke is 20-3 on the year, including a 7-2 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play, following a 78-75 overtime win against Miami on Saturday.
- Duke is 14-0 at Cameron Indoor Stadium, including a 5-0 record in league play. The Blue Devils have won 12 of their last 13 ACC home games.
- The Blue Devils are ranked sixth in the AP poll and fifth in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. Duke has now been ranked in the top 10 in 31 consecutive AP polls.
- Duke is rated first in the RPI according to CollegeRPI.com. The Blue Devils are also ranked atop the latest Pomroy Ratings.
- Junior Jon Scheyer scored a team-high 22 points in Saturday's win over Miami. The Northbrook, Ill., native knocked down four three-point field goals and went 8-of-10 from the foul line for the game.
- Gerald Henderson added 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in a career-high 38 minutes of play against the Hurricanes.
- Senior Greg Paulus made four three-pointers and scored a season-high 18 points on Saturday. He also had five rebounds, two assists and three steals in the win.
- David McClure grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds versus Miami. He had 10 rebounds after intermission as Duke outrebounded Miami, 27-16, over the final 25 minutes of play. McClure also had seven of Duke's 18 offensive rebounds on the day.
- Duke set a school record with 39 three-point field goal attempts on Saturday.
Carlyle Cup
- Duke is currently trailing North Carolina in the 2008-09 Carlyle Cup standings, 9.5-3.5.
- The Blue Devils have gained one point from both men's and women's cross country, one point for fencing and 0.5 point from volleyball. The last point went to the Tar Heels as they defeated Duke 75-60 in women's basketball on Monday.
- The Carlyle Cup is an annual all-sports competition between Duke and North Carolina. Last year North Carolina won the cup by a final 18-8 count. The Carlyle Cup is sponsored by Carlyle & Co., a Greensboro-based jeweler.
Numbers Game
- Wednesday's game marks the 40th meeting between Duke and North Carolina that both teams have been ranked in the top 10. In such games, Duke leads the series, 20-19, including a 15-14 mark under Mike Krzyzewski.
- Duke is playing a team ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll for the fifth time this season on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are 2-2, with wins over No. 9 Purdue and No. 7 Xavier, in the previous four games against a top 10 opponent.
- Gerald Henderson has scored in double figures in 15 straight games, which is tied for the fourth-longest streak in the ACC. He has scored 20 or more points in four of the last nine games. Henderson is averaging 17.8 points per game and shooting 53.6 percent (103-of-192) from the field in the last 14 contests.
- Kyle Singler is one of two players (Georgia Tech's Gani Lawal) in the ACC averaging at least 15.0 ppg. and 8.0 rpg. this season.

The Series vs. North Carolina
- Duke and North Carolina have met 67 times during the Coach K era. The Blue Devils are 32-33 versus the Tar Heels with Mike Krzyzewski as the head coach. Krzyzewski missed both games against North Carolina during the 1994-95 season while recovering from back surgery.
