Donovan & Ellenbogen Advance To Match Play At Women?s Western

LIMA, Ohio ? Both Kim Donovan and Courtney Ellenbogen each advanced to the match play portion of the 2009 Women's Western Amateur on Tuesday following two rounds of stroke play qualifying at the Shawnee Country Club in Lima, Ohio.

Donovan, who is a junior from Hopkinton, Mass., turned in rounds of 75 and 79 for a total of 154, while Ellenbogen, an incoming freshman from Roanoke, Va., posted rounds of 80 and 74 for a 154. Both golfers were tied for 18th.

Taking the qualifying top slot was Kristina Wong with a total of 146.

Ellenbogen will take on Betsie Johnson in the first round of match play beginning at 9:52 a.m., on Wednesday, while Donovan will face Marguerite Johnson at 10:52 a.m.
