Jennings Named to ACC All-Tournament Team

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke junior Tara Jennings was named to the 2010 ACC Field Hockey Championship All-Tournament Team, following the completion of the tournament Sunday, Nov. 8.

A midfielder from Macungie, Pa., Jennings has been a key contributor all season as the junior has totaled a career-high seven points on two goals and three assists this year. She was selected to the All-ACC team for her play in 2010. In addition, Jennings has earned NFHCA National Academic All-America and ACC All-Academic honors during her three years in Durham.

In the ACC Tournament, Virginia narrowly edged Duke, 2-1, in the opening round on Thursday, Nov. 4 in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Blue Devils finished the season with an 8-11 (0-5 ACC) record.
