Women's 4x800 Meter Relay Earns End of the Year Honor

DURHAM, N.C.- The 2011 Duke women's 4x800 meter relay team was honored earlier this month by Accusplit for racing the fastest time in the NCAA at the Penn Relays on April 30^th, 2011. The quartet of Esther Vermeer, Devotia Moore, Cydney Ross and Kate Van Buskirk won the event in a time of 8:25.95.

For the first time in 30 years, the ceremony was held at the USTFCCCA Convention in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to this year, the teams were recognized at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.
