DURHAM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the pairings for the ACC Tennis Championships in Cary April 21-24 with Duke receiving the No. 3 seed and a first round bye.
The Blue Devils will play on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Cary Tennis Park. They will play the winner of the match between the No. 6 seed Virginia Tech and No. 11 seed N.C. State. Duke claimed wins over both schools in the regular season,defeating Virginia Tech on the road, 6-1, and N.C. State at home, 7-0.
Duke clinched the first round bye with a pair of home victories this past weekend over Florida State and Miami. The two wins helped the Blue Devils finish the regular season with an 18-8 overall record and 9-2 mark in conference play.
Last year Duke advanced to the finals of the ACC Tournament before losing to Virginia. The Blue Devils have won 12 ACC Championships in school history, the second most of any conference school.
