DURHAM, N.C.— Since junior
Nick McCrory arrived at Duke, he has registered NCAA Championships as a freshman and sophomore. He is now looking to make his first Olympic team as he prepares to compete in the 2011 World Championships.
McCrory, who is out of Chapel Hill, N.C., will compete in both the 10-meter and 10-meter synchro competitions in Shanghai, China from July 16-31.
Prior to heading to China, McCrory received some excellent advice from one of the USA's best divers in its history with Greg Louganis in town for a USA Diving mentor program. McCrory will be coached in China by Duke's own diving coach
Drew Johansen, who will be leading the USA Diving team.
As a sophomore at Duke, McCrory had a phenomenal year, which featured an undefeated regular season, three record-breaking performances, two ACC titles, a second ACC Diver of the Year award and a second National Title.
