Pecht, FC Strikers Win the U-18 Title

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Duke University incoming freshman Cassie Pecht helped lead the FC Pennsylvania Strikers to the U.S. Youth Soccer U-18 National Championship over the weekend in Rock Hill, S.C. Pecht and the FC Strikers posted a 3-0-1 record over the last five days of action.

Pecht, who is a native of Mechanicsburg, Pa., scored three goals over the week as the Strikers scored 14 goals and allowed only two. Her three goals scored were the second-most in the U-18 division. In Sunday's title match, the FC Strikers downed Brentwood 94 Premier, 6-0.

With Sunday's championship, the FC Strikers completed a trophy sweep this season, claiming titles in state cup, Region I Premier League, Region I Championships, National League and the National Championships.
