ACC Announces TV Coverage for Olympic Sports

DURHAM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference released its Olympic sports television schedule for the upcoming fall season on Friday with Duke being featured live on ESPN3, the Regional Sports Network (RSN), and the ACC Digital Network (ACCDN) on YouTube in 10 regular season contests. The ACC also will televise the ACC fall Championships for field hockey and men's and women's soccer.
The television schedule released by the ACC includes 77 games totaling 145 school appearances, which is the highest count in history for ACC fall Olympic sports coverage. Additional games will be shown by the official website and regional cable partners of the various ACC schools and further appearances may be added throughout the fall.
The men's soccer team will have four regular season games televised during the 2012 season, including the annual rivalry game against North Carolina on Friday, Sept. 28 at 7:00 pm on ACCDN. In addition to the three regular season games, both ACC semifinal matchups will be shown on Nov. 9 on ESPN3, as well as the ACC Championship game on Nov. 11 on ESPNU.
The women's soccer team is slated to have six games broadcast on television including an early season matchup on Thursday, Sept. 13 at Florida State on ESPN3. That matchup is set to kick off at 7:00 pm. The ACC Semifinal and ACC Championship will also be televised on ESPN3.com on November 2 and 4 respectively.
The ACC quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games for field hockey are scheduled to be shown on Thursday, Nov. 1, Friday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 4 on theACC.com and RSN.
