Blue Devils Explore Hanauma Bay on Second Day in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii - The third-ranked women's tennis program spent their second day in Hawaii exploring Hanauma Bay, a beach just minutes from downtown Honolulu before enjoying some well-deserved downtime at Waikiki Beach in the afternoon.
In the morning, the team travelled to Hanauma Bay where they spent time snorkeling and soaking in the sun on gorgeous white sand beaches. While some decided to stay put on the beach and work on tans, others put on their masks and explored the bay seeing beautiful coral, colorful fish and sea turtles.
After snorkeling, the Blue Devils spent time working with team psychologist Dr. Greg Dale, who works with a number of athletic teams at Duke on the mental side of sports. Although the Duke record books need be checked, the Blue Devils may have set some type of record as the first team to ever host a team meeting while sitting on the beach.
Following a busy morning, the Blue Devils had an opportunity to explore Waikiki Beach before heading to a team dinner. The Blue Devils are slated to begin spring practice on Sunday at the University of Hawaii.
