TEMPE, Ariz. – Led by a five-under-par, 283, on Saturday in the second round, the third-ranked Duke women's golf team will head into the final round of the PING/ASU Invitational with a five-stroke lead at the 6,223-yard, Par 72 Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.
The Blue Devils have carded rounds of 280 and 283 for a 13-under-par, 563, and leads by five over Alabama (568). Southern California (571), Stanford (571), Arizona (572), Arizona State (572), Texas (575), TCU (577), UCLA (581) and Texas A&M (583) rounded out the top 10.
Duke opened the day with a two-under-par first nine, but it could have been better as the Blue Devils suffered two double-bogeys. On the back, Duke carded 10 birdies and shot two-under-par. As a team, the Blue Devils notched a season-high 21 birdies. Duke has registered 39 birdies over the first 36 holes.

Celine Boutier each collected a one-under-par, 71, on Saturday.
Beck continues to be tied for the individual lead with 18 holes remaining with a seven-under-par, 137. She is tied with Alabama's Emma Talley (137). A product of Caesarea, Israel, Beck has totaled rounds of 67 and 70 over the first two days and her 36-hole total of 137 is a career-best. On Saturday, she opened with birdies on two out of the first three holes, but suffered a double-bogey on the par-five fifth hole. Beck made the turn with a one-over-par, 36, after a bogey on No. 9, but closed with a three-under-par ledger on the back nine that included birdies on No. 10, No. 13 and No. 14. She hit 12 greens, six fairways and had 29 putts on the day.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Duncan enters the final round tied for seventh and three shots off the individual lead with a two-day total of 140. She carded a second round 71 on Saturday, after rolling in four birdies for the second straight day. Duncan opened with birdies on No. 1 and No. 5, but had a double-bogey on the 178-yard, par three sixth hole to move her back to even par. She went back to two-under-par, after collecting back-to-back birdies on No. 10 and No. 11 and held that score until the 18th. Duncan made her only bogey of the day to close the afternoon, finishing with a 71. She hit 13 fairways, 15 greens and had 32 putts in the second round.
Boutier fired her second straight round of 71 on day two and will enter Sunday's action tied for 12th overall with a 142. The 36-hole total of 142 is three shots better than her previous two-day total this season for the rookie out of Montrouge, France. Boutier rolled in a tied for team-best five birdies on day two to go along with four bogies. She reached two-under-par on two different occasions on the day but suffered bogies to follow on her way to finishing with a 71.
Ellenbogen carded a one-under-par, 71, which was the lowest 18-hole ledger for the Blacksburg, Va., product since the Tar Heel Invitational during her junior campaign. She enters Sunday's play tied for 35th with a 146. Ellenbogen got off to a hot start in round two with birdies on No. 1, No. 2 and No. 7 to move to three-under-par for the round, but went on to have four consecutive bogeys from 8-11. She regrouped and closed with birdies on No. 12 and No. 15 to finish with a 71. Ellenbogen had 27 putts, hit 11 fairways and 11 greens on the day.
Junior
Alejandra Cangrejo turned in a solid round of 73 on Saturday and will enter the final round tied for 35th with a 146. She hit 11 greens, nine fairways and had 30 putts on the day. Cangrejo, who is from Bogota, Colombia, was one-under through the first 13 holes, but had three bogeys, one birdie and one par to close her round as she finished with a 73.
Duke will tee off in the final round starting at 11:50 a.m. (ET), along with Southern California and Alabama on Sunday.
