DURHAM, N.C.— Senior
Allison Vernerey closed her four-year career with the Blue Devils this past season, after coming all the way from France. The 6-5 center saw action in 140 career games, which ranks tied for second most on the Duke record books.
Over her four years, Vernerey averaged 5.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and blocked 109 shots to rank 10th on the Blue Devil charts. She was heavily involved with the Duke Cancer Institute and created the Blue Devils vs. Cancer student group at Duke. Vernerey created the Sweet Night in Durham to help raise money for the Duke Cancer Institute and helped run the Ramblin' Rose Marathon in Durham as well.
