Huitema Going for USSDA Championship

HOUSTON – Duke University incoming men's soccer player Brody Huitema is beginning his quest for a US Soccer Developmental Academy Championship this week at the USSDA Finals Week at the Houston Amateur Sports Park. Huitema is suiting up for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC which placed first in the Northwest Division.
Finals week started July 14 and conclude with the championship game July 20 at BBVA Compass Stadium, the home of Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo. The Whitecaps opened the week with a big 3-1 win over the Seattle Sounders. Huitema, the USSDA leading scorer, scored two goals en route to the victory.
The Whitecaps lace up their cleats again Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. (ET) against the New York Red Bulls. Group play ends July18 against Albertson SC.
