REDDING, Calif. – Duke University sophomore women's tennis standout
Beatrice Capra had her run at the Ascension Project Women's Challenger come to an end on Thursday afternoon with a 7-6, 6-4 decision to third-seeded Chanel Simmonds at the Sun Oaks Tennis & Fitness center in Redding, Calif.
Capra registered three victories before falling in the second round of the singles main draw. A product of Ellicott City, Md., Capra will next compete in the ITA Riviera All-American from Sept. 28-Oct. 6.
