"We're really excited about heading down to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and playing on what is one of the best PGA Tour -- and just golf in general -- venues in our country at Colonial Country Club,” said head coach
Jamie Green. “The tournament has been a few years in the making in terms of planning, and the folks at Nike Golf have committed a lot to be able to make this happen. We're very fortunate to be at a school that is the beneficiary of the generous sponsorship of Nike, and we're looking forward to competing with some of the best programs that also are Nike Elite schools."
Wood, a freshman from Indiana, leads the team with a 72.5 stroke average. He has shot even-par or better in three of his six rounds and has a tie for eighth finish at the Invitational at the Ocean Course.
